Use InsightPins in Claude and other AI apps
InsightPins works inside AI assistants through MCP (Model Context Protocol). Connect it once, then ask in plain words: "make a Pinterest pin for this article". The assistant reads the page, picks one of 30 templates, 15 color palettes and 10 font pairings, and hands you a finished 1000x1500 pin.
Paste this wherever your app asks for an MCP server or custom connector URL.
https://app.insightpins.com/api/mcpConnect it
Claude (claude.ai and the Claude apps)

}ChatGPT and other MCP apps
- Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth can connect: add a custom connector or MCP server with the URL https://app.insightpins.com/api/mcp.
- Sign-in, consent and the tools work the same way everywhere.
Try asking
- “Make a Pinterest pin for https://example.com/my-article”
- “Make three pin variations for this recipe page, each with a different template”
- “Use a quote template and a dark palette for this post”
- “Make the title shorter and render it again in PNG”
- “The text looks too small, make it bigger”
- “How many pin renders do I have left today?”
What the assistant can do
- extract_url
- Reads a web page you name (blog post, product page, recipe) and returns its title, description and images.
- list_templates
- Lists the 30 pin templates by category, with the extra fields each supports, such as a price or cook time.
- list_styles
- Lists the 15 color palettes and 10 font pairings.
- render_pin
- Renders the pin: a preview in the chat plus a link to the full 1000x1500 image (JPEG, or PNG on request) and a link that opens the same pin on this website for further editing. You can ask for larger or smaller text (text size, from 70% to 250%). The image link works for 7 days.
- get_quota
- Shows how many of your 50 daily renders are left.
Limits
- 50 renders per day per account, reset at 00:00 UTC. Failed renders are not counted.
- Image links work for 7 days. Download what you want to keep.
- Pins are 1000x1500 pixels, Pinterest's recommended size.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. You sign in with Google when you connect, and get 50 renders a day. The count resets at 00:00 UTC, and a failed render is not counted.
Does it post to Pinterest for me?
No. You get the finished image and upload it to Pinterest yourself, so you stay in control of every pin.
Why does the image link stop working after 7 days?
Rendered images are kept for 7 days, then deleted. Pinterest keeps its own copy when you create a pin, so pins you already published are not affected. Download anything you want to keep.
What does InsightPins see?
Your Google account email (to keep your daily count), the pages you ask it to read, and the pins it renders. It cannot read your chats.
How do I disconnect?
Remove the InsightPins connector in your AI app. Apps that support it end the connection on our side at once; otherwise the app simply stops using it, and an unused connection lapses after 30 days. There is no list of connected apps on the website yet.
Do the pins look the same as on the website?
Yes. The server renders the exact same templates the website exports, with the same fonts and colors.
