Is the pin generator free to use?

Yes, InsightPins is completely free. You can create and export pins without any payment or subscription. There is no trial that expires and no card required.

Do I need an account to create pins?

No. The generator works immediately with no signup. Signing in with Google is optional: it raises the daily limit from 6 to 20 downloads and lets you save styles. It is not required to create or export anything.

What size are the exported pins?

Pins are exported at 1000x1500 pixels (2:3 aspect ratio), which is the size Pinterest officially recommends. Pinterest truncates images taller than 2:3 in the feed, so this ratio protects your design from being cut off.

How many templates are there?

There are 38 templates across 6 categories: blog, product, list, quote, recipe, and creative. Combined with 20 color palettes and 10 font pairings, that is thousands of distinct looks without designing anything yourself.

Can I make several different pins for the same blog post?

Yes, and you should. Pinterest favors fresh pins over repeated uploads of the same image. The generator shows six pins at once and the Randomize button reshuffles every unlocked one, so you can export a month of distinct pins for a single post in one sitting.

Can I use my own images?

Yes. The tool extracts images from your URL and you can pick from everything it finds, or upload your own file directly. Most templates also work without any image at all, using the template built-in styling.

Why did the tool not find images on my page?

Extraction reads Open Graph tags, JSON-LD structured data, inline scripts, and the page DOM including lazy-loaded attributes. Sites that render entirely in JavaScript after load, or that block automated requests, can still come up empty. When that happens, upload the image directly using the Upload tab.

Do the exported pins have a watermark?

No. Exports are clean JPEGs with no watermark, badge, or attribution. The pins are yours to use commercially, including for client work and affiliate content.

Do I need design skills to use this tool?

No design skills required. The templates already encode Pinterest design constraints - safe zones, minimum type sizes, contrast ratios, and element counts - so a pin assembled here follows the platform guidance by default.

What types of content work best?

Blog posts, product pages, recipes, and listicles with clear titles work best, because the tool has a template category built for each. Text overlays perform best at three to seven words, so a focused headline beats a long one.

What file format are the pins exported in?

High-quality JPEG at 1000x1500 pixels, which keeps the file small. You can upload the file straight to Pinterest or pass it into a scheduler such as Tailwind.

Can I use these pins commercially?

Yes. There is no license restriction on pins you create. You are responsible for holding the rights to any image you upload or extract from a page you do not own.

How is this different from Canva?

Canva is a general design editor where you start from a blank canvas or template and place elements yourself. This tool starts from a URL: it pulls your content in, applies a Pinterest-specific layout, and produces six variations at once. It is narrower on purpose and considerably faster for the single job of turning existing content into pins.

Is there a limit on how many pins I can export?

You can download 6 pins a day without an account, 10 if you leave your email, and 20 when you sign in with Google. The count resets at midnight UTC. The cap exists to keep the tool free and responsive for everyone.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of InsightPins at app.insightpins.com: the pin generator website, the InsightPins connector for AI assistants (MCP) and pin scheduling, which Pinterest shows as "InsightPins Scheduler" (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Ruslan Saifullin, an individual trading as InsightPins ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it. Our other products on insightpins.com, the Pin Stats extension and the keyword tools, have their own terms.

The pin generator is free within daily limits, and the pins you make are yours to use.
You are responsible for the text, photos and links you put on a pin, including the right to use them.
Pin scheduling publishes only the pins you choose, one at a time, to your own Pinterest account, and Pinterest’s rules apply to them.

The Service

The pin generator is free. It turns a web page you choose into Pinterest pin images from ready-made templates. You can download up to 6 pins a day, 10 if you give us your email address, and 20 if you sign in with Google. The counts reset at 00:00 UTC.

The connector for AI assistants lets Claude, ChatGPT or another app that supports MCP make pins for you with your InsightPins account. It is free and limited to 20 rendered pins and 10 uploaded photos per account per day, reset at 00:00 UTC. Links to rendered pins and uploaded photos work for 7 days.

Pin scheduling publishes pins you made here to your own Pinterest account at the times you pick, one pin at a time. Pins for a real Pinterest account are posted only once Pinterest has approved our app. It is in development and open only to us, for testing. When it is open to you, Pin scheduling and Pinterest applies.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you use it for a business, you confirm that you may accept these Terms for that business.

Your account

You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account secure: you are responsible for what is done with your InsightPins account, including by an AI app you connect to it. You can stop using the Service at any time and have your account deleted, as our Privacy Policy describes.

Your content and your pins

You keep all rights to the text, photos and links you use. You allow us to process and store them only as our Privacy Policy describes, such as to draw your pins, to keep them for the time stated there and, for pins you schedule, to send them to Pinterest.

You are responsible for having the right to use everything you put on a pin. A photo from a web page may need a license or credit before you publish it. Only upload photos you took yourself or have permission to use, and if a photo shows other people, make sure they are happy for it to be published.

The pins you make are yours to use for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, within the rights you have in the text and photos on them. The templates, their design and the Service itself remain ours: you may not copy or resell the templates, or offer them as part of another product.

Pin scheduling and Pinterest

You connect your own Pinterest account on Pinterest’s own page, and you can disconnect it at any time. While it is connected:

Every pin is chosen by you. We publish a pin only after you add that one pin to the schedule and confirm its image, title, description, link, board and time. A pin an AI assistant prepares waits as a draft until you approve it yourself on the website.
Pins may only link to websites you have verified as yours, and we limit how many pins each Pinterest account can publish in a day. We do not offer bulk posting, automatic posting or re-posting.
You are responsible for the pins you schedule, and you must follow Pinterest’s terms, Community Guidelines and other policies.
We may refuse, pause or cancel a scheduled pin, or pause scheduling for an account, when it would break Pinterest’s rules or these Terms.

We try to publish each pin at its time, but we cannot promise that it is published at that exact time or at all: Pinterest may be unavailable, refuse a pin, limit an account or end our access. A pin more than 2 hours late is not posted on its own: it is shown as missed and waits for you to try it again, move it or delete it. Once a pin is on Pinterest, what happens to it is up to you and Pinterest.

Relationship with Pinterest

InsightPins is an independent developer. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to Pinterest, Inc. "Pinterest" is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc., used here only to describe what the Service works with. Your own use of Pinterest is governed by Pinterest’s terms.

AI assistants

When you use the Service through an AI app, that app’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the app. The assistant acts for you, within your account’s limits. Check the pins it makes before you publish them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the Service for spam, for misleading pins, or for content that is unlawful, infringes someone’s rights or breaks Pinterest’s rules;
get around the daily limits or other restrictions, or use automated means to put unreasonable load on our systems;
try to get into our systems or other users’ data without permission;
resell or sublicense the Service, or offer it as part of a competing product.

Your data

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Availability and changes

The Service is free. We may add, change or remove features, change the daily limits, or suspend the Service for maintenance. We aim to keep interruptions short, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Download what you want to keep: the images we store are deleted on the schedule in our Privacy Policy.

No guarantee of results

The Service helps you make and publish pins. It does not guarantee any outcome: not impressions, saves, clicks, traffic or revenue.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, InsightPins will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and have your account deleted (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access, including disconnecting your Pinterest account from the Service, if you materially breach these Terms or if your use puts other users, the Service or our access to Pinterest at risk. Where a breach can be put right, we will normally contact you first.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service develops or the law requires. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will tell signed-in users on the website or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us: most issues are resolved quickly by email.

General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may assign ours to a successor in connection with an incorporation, merger, acquisition or sale of assets, including transferring this agreement to a company formed to operate InsightPins. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
